Monster Truck Parade

Head downtown at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 for the Monster Truck Parade.

The trucks are starting at Bob’s Tires on Walnut and turning left to head straight to Growney Motors Inc. All the Monster Trucks will be parked at Growney Motors at the end of our amazing parade where you can get up close and personal to meet the drivers, check out the trucks, take photos and get autographs.

Don’t forget A&R Custom Butchering, Retail Meats and Deli is right there, too. Another hot spot for the West Coast Monster Trucks.

The evening will include significant Special Awards will be given out and the Chamber is proud to present the following awards to community businesses and leaders: the Gene Penne Award for Business and Community Leadership, Beautification Award, Spirit Award and Business of the Year award.

The dinner will be Oct. 11 at the Rustic Rose located at 576 Sykes Ave. in Red Bluff.

This will be a casual, fun event with fantastic food trucks, wine toss, whiskey wall, silent auction, and community awards.

This wonderful evening will begin at 6 p.m. with music, food, games, silent auction and no-host bar.

Silent auction items needed

Become an auction item sponsor for the annual chamber dinner. More than 490 businesses are invited to this chamber event. Your auction item will help the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber move forward in achieving our mission of promoting the growth and prosperity of local commerce through the support of visitor attraction efforts, ongoing community awareness, shop local campaigns, events and networking opportunities.

City council candidates night

The Red Bluff Chamber will be hosting a Candidates Night at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at the Veterans Hall. You are invited to attend.

Here is the list of candidates for the three open positions: three incumbents, Kris Deiters, Daniele Eyestone, Johnna Jones, and three candidates, Colton Epperson, Patrick Hurton, and Cody Strock.

The venue will be open at 5 p.m. Tables will be available to candidates to set up materials or have an informal meet and greet with the folks that show up before and after the program.

Attendees will have an opportunity to write down questions at the event and put them in a question box. Chamber board members will review questions and get them to the chamber moderator. Each candidate will have time for a two-minute opening statement and one minute to answer questions. At the end they will have the opportunity to give a two-minute closing statement.

The chamber looks forward to hosting a great and informative evening.

Saturday farmers market

The Wednesday night market is over, but the Saturday market has all the produce and vendors you love.

The market runs 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday at River Park.
